Grovesnor Road Primary School 2004

This project was undertaken by Kharyat Siddiq as the architectural lead during his time at Salford City Council

Project Details:

The scheme consisted of rationalisation of internal room layout to support effective supervision and bringing year groups together resulting refurbishment and adaptation along with having a new build classroom within the centre courtyard.

The scheme was developed and designed by Kharyat Siddiq, who was solely responsible for end-user requirements and planning requirements, from Inception through to works starting on site and handover within time and budget. As it was live site and segregation between pupil and contractor was paramount as location of the build was in the centre and CDM drawing was developed to ensure Health & Safety was obtained thus alot of activity regarding groundworks and major structural elements and asbestos removal were carried during summer holiday period.

The design of the completed school was very well received by the end user and the client.
